E. Murray Cook
E. Murray Cook founded and serves as the CEO of Migration Software Systems, Ltd., an industry leader in software engineering solutions and training. Migration, based in San Jose, provides leading-edge technology solutions in the areas of relational databases, the Internet, and network security. In addition, Migration is a leading developer of data warehouse training and has developed systems and applications software for the Internet in conjunction with Netscape, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, and Digital Equipment over the past three years. Mr. Cook holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Florida. He has completed graduate school at Texas A&M University with a specialty in meteorology and also the University of Santa Clara, specializing in biomedical engineering.
Jeffrey P. Cusack
Jeffrey P. Cusack, CIMA is Executive Managing Director and National Sales Manager for Nuveen Investments LLC in the Wirehouse, Independent Broker Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor channels. Prior to that he was President and Executive Managing Director Tradewinds Global Investors LLC. (A Nuveen Affiliate) Before joining Tradewinds in 2014 he was Managing Director with Nuveen overseeing RIA business channel and the firm’s Alternative Investments Distribution. Prior to joining Nuveen Investments, Inc. he was President of Forward Management LLC in San Francisco. Jeffrey’s experience includes Executive Vice President, head of sales and marketing for JPMorgan Private Client Services, Senior Vice President and head of managed accounts for Charles Schwab, and Senior Vice President and Divisional Director of Smith Barney Consulting Group where he supported Financial Consultants serving high net worth investors and institutions. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst and holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from New England College.
Chris Ferguson is a Vice President at MVC Capital, Inc., a publicly traded business development company listed on the NYSE. His responsibilities include sourcing, executing and monitoring investments. Prior to his tenure at MVC, he worked in Private Equity at CCMP Capital and as a member of a corporate cash management team at Credit Suisse. Mr. Ferguson holds a BA (Government) from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and an MBA with a dual concentration in Finance and Management from Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business.
Matt Lynch is the Managing Partner of Strategy & Resources, LLC, a financial services consulting firm. Mr. Lynch has over 25 years of industry experience as a financial services executive and advises senior executives on corporate-level strategy, resource optimization, and change management. His work has included numerous corporate strategy engagements for leading banks, insurance companies, broker/dealers, investment management firms, technology firms, CPA firms, fee-based financial advisors, and venture capital firms. Previously, Mr. Lynch served as President & CEO of Capital Analysts Incorporated, CFO of Lincoln Financial Advisors, and in field management roles with New York Life. He served as a Director of the business consulting group at Moss Adams, LLP, where he was widely recognized for his industry expertise in succession planning, M&A, and financial services distribution strategies. Mr. Lynch was also a Principal at Tiburon Strategic Advisors, where he focused on strategy consulting. Mr. Lynch is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and holds an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
Kathleen M.H. Wallman
Kathleen M.H. Wallman is Co-Founder of FOLIOfn, Inc. She has served as an economic adviser to President Clinton and Vice President Gore as a Deputy Assistant for Economic Policy at the National Economic Council. Prior to that, she served as Deputy Counsel to the President in the Office of White House Counsel. She also served in senior positions at the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to entering government service, Wallman was a partner in the Washington, D.C.-based law firm, Arnold & Porter. Wallman consults in the field of telecommunications and technology policy through her firm, Wallman Consulting, LLC and represents clients in litigations and other legal proceedings through her law firm Kathleen Wallman, PLLC.
Steven M.H. Wallman
Steven M.H. Wallman, a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 1994 to 1997, played a leading role in formulating policies that brought the Internet and other advanced technologies into wide use within the securities industry. Mr. Wallman is a recognized authority on securities markets and trading, and the application of technology to financial services. He also was a partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling. In 2012, Mr. Wallman was appointed to the SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee, which counsels the Commission on regulatory priorities and initiatives to protect investor interests. Mr. Wallman earned a law degree from Columbia University, and holds two degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including an M.S. from the Sloan School of Management.
